In our creative mala-making experience Rachel will guide you through the essentials of authentic japa meditation and how to work with 108 beads as a living tool for intention, mantra and mindfulness.
You’ll explore the meaning behind materials like semi-precious gemstones, wood and sacred seeds, and learn practical steps for designing, stringing and caring for your mala so it stays energetically fresh and supportive over time.
Whether you want a simple everyday mala or something more luxurious, you’ll leave with a beautiful, soulful necklace to wear or support you in your yoga/meditation practice.
You'll learn:
- how mala beads are used for authentic japa meditation and intention-setting
- how to choose gemstones/wood/seeds and design your sacred mala
- how to knot, care for and cleanse your mala to maintain its energy
All the materials are included for your mala-making experience:
- 108 beads: a base of sandalwood or rudraksha beads
- max 20 gemstone beads (large selection available)
- max 12 sterling silver or gold vermeil elements/spacers
- guru bead
- Griffin thread with needle
- tassel (not essential)
- cotton bag to protect your mala
- Palo Santo stick to cleanse your mala
- mala tutorial PDF (sent via email after the workshop)

Your place is only reserved once payment has been received.
Kindly note that reservations for workshops are binding. A workshop can only be cancelled/postponed due to illness or accident and if a medical attest follows the cancellation/postponement.
Please note that we do not issue refunds for cancellations but we will issue you with a credit note for our next available workshop at YogaTopia.
Credit notes are transferable to another person but are not valid for workshops held in other locations, private online tuition or for goods sold on our website.Additional material costs can range from CHF1.- to CHF50.- depending on the choice of materials (semi-precious stones, spacers, charms, ready made tassels, sterling silver, gold vermeil etc). You can pay for any additional materials on the day of the workshop with TWINT or Credit Card.
